The difference between wallpaper and photo wallpaper

Both options will brighten up your interior and also hide any unevenness. Photo wallpapers are in most cases large-format pictorial motifs. They look very realistic. There is also a difference in material. Wallpapers are made of non-woven fabric, vinyl, paper or textile, whereas photo wallpapers are printed on either a paper or a non-woven backing.

Paper wallpaper

It is ideal because of its low price, but be prepared for the drawbacks that paper wallpaper has. For example, it is not resistant to abrasion or moisture. Putting it up and taking it down is hard work. If you plan for your living room to look different every year, paper wallpaper is the best option, at the very least it will not ruin you.

It is one of the most popular types of wallpaper on offer. It will turn anyone’s head, and in an original way. It makes an ideal wall decoration in the living room.

As we have already mentioned, nothing should be overdone, and this applies doubly to floral motifs. Moreover, since it is a striking element, use floral wallpaper on only one wall or at least part of it. Floral wallpaper is ideal, however, if you want your interior to be in harmony with nature.

Which wallpaper colours and patterns?

Well-chosen wallpaper can transform an entire room. If you have a smaller living room, choose wallpaper in lighter tones with small patterns. Plain wallpaper is a safe bet. You will most often find it in shades of beige, yellow or light green. For a larger living room, choose bold patterns, even in dark colours such as burgundy, purple or grey.
